Experiencing the Total Solar Eclipse
The once-in-a-lifetime experience of viewing a Total Solar Eclipse was met with all the excitement possible. The few moments of totality were breathtaking, even if the bright parking lights around our front driveway came on as darkness descended, along with the lights along 86th Street! Birds fell silent and every single Canadian goose momentarily vanished from around our 23 acres!! Our eldest Resident, 103, was asked if she had ever seen a total eclipse in her long lifetime. She replied jokingly, “no, I haven’t and I sure am glad I hung around for this one!”
