ADMISSIONS
The admission process usually begins with a conversation with one of the Little Sisters or with our Social Services Director to learn:
- The age and financial eligibility of the prospective Resident.
- Their current living situation.
- Their current needs and health concerns.
- Hopes and expectations of the individual and their family regarding placement in a continuum of care retirement community.
The purpose is to begin to discern if the individual’s needs and desires would be met through the services of St. Augustine Home. If this seems to be the case, an interview is arranged at St. Augustine Home with the individual or family member or we will send them an application if an interview is not possible.
We do not generally admit directly into the skilled nursing unit. These rooms are usually reserved for Residents in the assisted living or apartment areas who require a higher level of care due to the onset of illness or disability.
If we feel that we are not able to meet your needs, we will be happy to suggest other facilities and resources in the community which may be helpful to you.
